Screed plate heating rod for the main right and extend right positions on AB500-2 and AB500-3 asphalt paver screeds, supplied as a direct replacement element with correct fitment and terminal positions.

The heating rod is the component that brings the screed plate up to working temperature before and during paving. When an element burns out or loses output, the screed plate runs cold on one section, asphalt drags instead of flowing, and the mat opens up with marks and density variation that no amount of roller work will close.

1. Isolate the paver electrically and let the screed cool before any work starts.
2. Check that the rod sits properly aligned inside the screed heating channel.
3. Verify the electrical connections are secure, so the terminal cannot arc under load.

5. Power up and verify heat distribution across the plate before paving.
