We have added the Apollo A6/20 road milling pick, part number 2642523, to our road milling bits range. The new item is a direct replacement pick for cold milling machines, pavement profilers and asphalt recyclers, and it is built around the two points that decide pick life on site: the carbide tip and the gasket that holds the shank steady in the holder.
The 2642523 pick combines a tungsten carbide tip with a hardened alloy steel body. A 7mm thickened gasket sits between the pick shoulder and the holder, absorbing impact and keeping the pick from rotating or creeping out of position during milling.
Milling crews in asphalt and concrete rehabilitation work measure a pick by how many square metres it cuts before the tip rounds off, and by how often a shank breaks and stops the drum. The A6/20 design addresses both:
| Part Number | 2642523 |
|---|---|
| Model | A6/20 |
| Product Type | Road milling pick / milling bit / milling teeth |
| Tip Material | Tungsten carbide (TC) |
| Body Material | Hardened alloy steel |
| Gasket Thickness | 7mm |
| Tip Hardness | HRA 88-90 |
| Application | Asphalt and concrete pavement milling |
| Brand | APOLLO |
Each production batch is checked before packing. We test carbide hardness, run a brazing shear test on sampled picks, verify shank and gasket dimensions, and run a sampling impact test on the drum. Production follows ISO 9001 procedures, so a repeat order matches the geometry and cutting behaviour of the first delivery. This matters for contractors who keep a fixed pick programme across several machines and cannot afford batch-to-batch variation.
The A6/20 pick is used in highway and urban road resurfacing, asphalt patching, trench milling, industrial floor removal and concrete surface preparation. It performs in both wet and dry milling conditions and fits the majority of standard milling drums in service today.
Minimum order quantity is 50 pieces, with reference pricing from USD 6 to 9 per piece depending on quantity and tip grade. Stock items leave the factory in 3 to 7 working days; production orders ship in 15 to 25 days. Picks are packed in shock-proof inner boxes and export-grade corrugated cartons on pallets, and neutral or custom labels are available for distributors.
If you are reviewing pick consumption on a milling job, send us your holder type, drum model and monthly quantity. Our team will confirm the A6/20 2642523 fitment and prepare a quotation with the delivery schedule for your project. Sample picks can be arranged for trial on site before you commit to a bulk order.
