उत्पाद विवरण
Good Quality 12769697 Slope Sensor 04-21-40110 Grade Sensor Digital Slope Meter Digital Grade Meter
A digital slope sensor (also known as a cross-slope sensor or grade sensor) is a critical component in the automatic leveling system of an asphalt paver. Its primary function is to precisely measure the transverse inclination (slope) of the screed in real-time, ensuring that the paved surface meets the required cross-slope specifications (e.g., for water drainage or road curvature).
How It Works & Its Role in the Leveling System
The paving process involves the tractor pulling a "floating screed" that levels the asphalt. The digital slope sensor is typically mounted on a traverse beam between the screed's tow arms or directly on the screed itself.
Measurement: The sensor acts like a highly precise, electronic spirit level. It continuously measures the angle of the screed relative to gravity, using technologies like MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) accelerometers or liquid-based systems.
Signal Transmission: It sends this data (as an analog voltage, PWM, or CAN-bus signal) to the paver's digital controller (e.g., MOBA Matic, Leica, or Cat Grade Control system).
Automatic Adjustment: The controller compares the actual slope to the target slope set by the operator. If there is a discrepancy, it sends a signal to the hydraulic valves on the left or right tow point cylinders, raising or lowering one side of the screed to correct the slope instantly.
Key Benefits & Technology
Modern digital slope sensors offer several technical advantages that directly improve paving quality:
High Precision: They offer high precision, with accuracy levels reaching up to ±0.02° and resolution down to 0.001°. This ensures the road surface is perfectly flat or sloped as designed.
Durability: Asphalt pavers operate in extreme conditions (high heat, heavy vibration, moisture, dust). Quality sensors feature rugged, sealed housings with IP66 or IP67 ingress protection ratings to withstand these harsh environments.
