A new consumable item has joined our asphalt paver undercarriage range: rubber track pad referenced to 2372467, covering S1800 and S1900 series machines. The pad is compression moulded from imported virgin rubber compound bonded to a steel core, and it ships in single units or full chain sets, with bolts and nuts included in every pack.
Track pads look alike on a photograph, and that is where the comparison usually stops. In service the difference shows up fast. Pads made from recycled crumb rubber begin to craze within a season, tear at the edges, and harden until they stop damping anything. Once they harden, every chain shock goes straight into the track frame, and from there into the screed and the electronics bolted to it.
Imported virgin compound behaves differently under the same duty. It keeps its elasticity through heat cycles, bitumen contact and continuous flexing, so the pad keeps damping vibration and keeps its thickness instead of wearing into the bolt heads. That is the whole argument for paying slightly more per pad: pads protect the chain and rollers, which cost many times more to replace.

Two signals are worth acting on. The first is thickness: once the rubber no longer stands proud of the bolt heads, the fasteners start taking the abrasion and the chain is next. The second is cracking at the shoulder: small surface checks are normal, but cracks that open when the pad flexes mean the compound has hardened past the point where it damps anything.
Replacing at that point keeps the chain and rollers out of the wear path. Waiting until pads fail completely usually means replacing pads and a length of chain in the same workshop visit.
Please send the machine model, the reference number and the number of pads your chain carries. Track widths and bolt patterns differ between series, so we confirm the configuration against your machine before quoting. Full chain sets can be packed as one shipment to keep freight cost per pad down.
The pad is available now in single units, chain sets and fleet quantities, with volume pricing from fifty pieces. For compound data, dimensional drawings or a quotation against your machine list, contact our parts desk and quote.
