A new stock item has been added to our asphalt paver parts range: the pendulum position slope sensor referenced to 2462560026, covering S1800, S1900 and S2100 series machines. The unit is the feedback element in the screed levelling loop, and it is supplied as a direct replacement so a drifting sensor can be swapped out in the workshop rather than booked in with a dealer.
Cross-slope is easy to ignore until the job is finished. A paver holding two percent too little slope leaves water standing in the wheel path after the first rain, and the fix is milling equipment, not a roller. A paver holding a slope that wanders through the pass leaves the edge thin in places and fat in others, which shows up as raveling later in the season.
In both cases the machine itself is usually fine. The problem sits in the sensor: a worn potentiometer, a pendulum arm that no longer swings freely, or a connector that has taken on water. Because the sensor is the only point measuring actual slope, its error is fed straight into the control loop, and the screed follows it.

The first change is usually that the operator stops touching the slope control. With accurate feedback the console holds the crown through the pass, so the rolling pattern stays continuous and the joint closes properly. The second change is on the ticket: fewer metres of rework for ponding or a thin edge, which is where the real cost of a drifting sensor shows up weeks after the paving is finished.
For crews running more than one paver, keeping a spare sensor in the site store is cheap insurance. The part is small, the swap is quick, and the alternative is a grade correction job that costs far more than the part.
Sensors are not always interchangeable across model years. Please send three details with your enquiry: the machine model and serial range, the reference number from the failed sensor, and the connector type on the existing harness. With those we confirm the matching unit, current stock and freight to your nearest port.
The sensor is available now in single units and in fleet quantities, with volume pricing from ten pieces. For datasheets, wiring details or a quotation against your machine list, contact our parts desk and quote the reference number above.
